The most common types of hand are a full house (three matching cards of one rank and two matching cards of another rank), a flush (five cards of the same suit that skip around in ranking), three of a kind (three cards of the same rank) or two pair (two cards of the same rank and then one unmatched card which is known as the kicker). The highest card in your hand determines the value of your hand.
